Kansas is a state located in the Midwestern United States. It is named after the Kansas River, which flows through it. According to the 2010 census, Kansas is the 34th most populous state with 2,853,132 residents. It is also the 15th largest state by area with 82,278 square miles.

Some of the most famous people who have called Kansas home include author Laura Ingalls Wilder, actors William Powell and Clifton Webb, and astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy was born in Plainfield, Illinois, and is the daughter of Sandra and Michael McCarthy. She was raised on a farm in a Catholic family of Irish descent. Melissa McCarthy attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she received a BFA in acting. After college, she moved to New York City, where she worked as a stand-up comedian and actress. In 2005, she married actor Ben Falcone, with whom she has two daughters. Melissa McCarthy’s film credits include “Bridesmaids,” “The Heat,” “Ghostbusters,” and “The Boss.” She has also appeared on television shows such as “Gilmore Girls” and “Mike & Molly.”

Jason Sudeikis

Jason Sudeikis was born in Fairfax, Virginia, but grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. His mother, Kathryn, was a travel agent, and his father, Daniel Joseph Sudeikis, was a vice president of business development.

Sudeikis started his career in improv comedy. He moved to Chicago in 1997 and studied at the Annoyance Theatre and Second City. He was then cast in The Second City Touring Company and later the Mainstage show Boom Chicago in Amsterdam.

Sudeikis’s film debut was in the 2013 film We’re the Millers. In addition to acting, he has also written for Saturday Night Live; he has been a cast member since 2005 and a writer since 2003.

Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd is one of the most famous people from Kansas. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey, but his family moved to Kansas when he was 10 years old. Rudd grew up in Topeka and went to school at Shawnee Mission West High School. He then went on to study theater at the University of Kansas. After college, Rudd moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He has since starred in many movies and television shows, including “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up,” “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Ant-Man.”
