Bill Self’s Early Life and Career
Bill Self was born in Topeka, Kansas, in 1952. He grew up in a family of basketball coaches and played collegiate basketball at Oklahoma State University. After a brief stint in the NBA, he returned to coaching at the University of Kansas in 1988.
