In 2008, the Jayhawks returned to the Final Four for the first time in 20 years. With wins over Davidson, Kentucky, and North Carolina, they entered the final weekend as the favorites to win it all. But they were ultimately defeated by the Memphis Tigers in the national semifinals.


2012 was the Kansas Jayhawks’ most recent appearance in the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament’s Final Four. The Jayhawks, a No. 2 seed, defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Midwest Regional final before falling to the Kentucky Wildcats in the national semifinals.


2013 was the Jayhawks’ 14th appearance in the Final Four, with their last appearance being in 2012. In 2013, they were defeated by the eventual champions, the Louisville Cardinals, in the semifinals.
