The annual Kansas State Fair is a 10-day event held in Hutchinson, Kansas. It is one of the largest fairs in the United States, with over 350,000 people in attendance each year.

General Admission
The Kansas State Fair is held annually in Hutchinson, Kansas. General admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12. Admission for seniors 60 and over is $9. Children 5 and under are free.

Seniors (60 and older) can enter the Kansas State Fair for FREE every day except Senior Day, when they will receive a $5 Fair gate admission.

Specialty Admission
The Kansas State Fair offers a variety of ways to enjoy the fair. One of the most popular is the Specialty Admission. The Specialty Admission allows you to come in early to the fair and enjoy all the animals and exhibits.
Military
Active duty, retired and veteran military personnel receive free gate admission with proper identification. Up to four guests ages 6 and older may enter with each military personnel.
Kansas State Fair Rodeo
The rodeo at the Kansas State Fair is one of the most popular attractions. The rodeo features cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country competing in events like bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and more.
Tickets for the rodeo are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.
Grandstand Concerts
Each grandstand concert requires a separate concert ticket in addition to your State Fair gate admission. You may purchase tickets online, by phone, or at the Kansas State Fair ticket office located in the changes building on the west side of the fairgrounds. Tickets are also available at Dillons stores in Wichita, Hutchinson, Salina, McPherson, and El Dorado. Please note that a service charge will be added to all tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.

Parking
If you are driving to the Kansas State Fair, there are several parking options available. You can park in the on-site parking lot for $10 per vehicle, or you can park in one of the many off-site parking lots for $5 per vehicle. There is also a free shuttle that runs from the off-site parking lots to the fairgrounds.
Cars
The Kansas State Fair offers free parking for cars in all of its surface lots. You can find a map of the parking lots on the fair’s website.
RVs
RVs can park in the Yellow Lot for $30 per night. There are a limited number of hookups available on a first-come, first-served basis; water is available in the Red Lot.
Camping
You can save some money by camping at the Kansas State Fair. Camping is only $15 per night with a four night minimum stay. There are some restrictions though. You must have a self-contained RV or camper. Tents are not allowed.
RV
The Kansas State Fair offers a variety of camping options for fair-goers, including RV sites, primitive camping, and group camping. Kansas State Fair RV camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. RV campers can choose from over 400 electric and water hookup sites, as well as primitive (non-hookup) sites. All Kansas State Fair RV campgrounds feature bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station.
Tent
Tent camping is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and is one of the most economical ways to stay at the Kansas State Fair. The Wichita Eagle will offer a limited number of full-hookup RV and tent sites for rent on a first-come, first-serve basis. Electrical and water hookups are available for an additional charge.
