According to the Weather Channel, as of 2 a.m. CST, Kansas City is under a Winter Storm Warning. A winter storm will bring heavy snow and strong winds to the area today. Total snowfall accumulation of 6 to 10 inches is expected.
Residents are advised to stay indoors if possible and avoid travel if necessary. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

-Independence
-Lee’s Summit
-Raytown
-Belton
-Grandview
-South Kansas City
Parts of Jackson, Cass, and Platte counties in Missouri are included in this Snow Emergency.

According to The Weather Channel, “As of 8 p.m. EST Sunday, Winter Storm Inga was located over southeast Louisiana and was bringing a wide swath of snow and ice from the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Deep South, Southeast and mid-Atlantic.”
