The Jayhawks and the Tar Heels will go head to head in a NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game on Sunday, March 26th. The game will be held at the University of North Carolina’s (UNC) Smith Center in Chapel Hill, and tip off is scheduled for 6:09pm EST. Here’s what you need to know about the game.

Roster

The Jayhawks’ roster is loaded with experience, led by seniors Justin Wesbrooks, Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike. Marcus Garrett, David McCormack, Silvio De Sousa and Mitch Lightfoot are also back after significant roles last season.

But this team will look different than last year’s squad, which lost three starters from last year in Lagerald Vick, Dedric Lawson and Kaleb Wesson. In their place, the Jayhawks have added five-star recruit Jalen Wilson, as well as injury redshirts Isaiah Moss and Tristan Enaruna.

Roster

The UNC Tar Heels men’s basketball team is set to take on the Kansas Jayhawks tonight in the NCAA tournament, and we’ve got all the details on what channel the game is on and how to watch.

The Tar Heels are led by guard Cole Anthony, who is averaging 21.0 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. Other key players for UNC include forwards Garrison Brooks (14.9 ppg, 7.5 rpg) and Armando Bacot (11.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg).

Kansas, meanwhile, is led by guard Devon Dotson, who is averaging 18.1 points and 4.0 assists per game. The Jayhawks also have a strong frontcourt with Udoka Azubuike (13.7 ppg, 10.5 rpg) and Jalen Wilson (10.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg).

The Jayhawks will open the season against Indiana State on Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium, with the home opener set for Sept. 7 against Coastal Carolina.

The rest of non-conference play includes a Sept. 14 trip to Boston College, a Sept. 21 home game against West Virginia and a Sept. 28 visit from Oklahoma State.

Kansas will then begin Big 12 play on the road at TCU on Oct. 5, followed by a home game against Texas Tech on Oct. 12. The Jayhawks will have their bye week on Oct. 19 before returning to action at Baylor on Oct. 26.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, March 15. The broadcasters will be Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas.

Game

The Jayhawks will need a big performance from their defense if they want to come out of Chapel Hill with a win. The unit will be tested by a UNC offense that averages nearly 33 points and 430 yards per game. The Jayhawks will also be without one of their best defenders, as cornerback Hasan Defense is suspended for the game.
