Upcoming Games

The Kansas City Royals are a professional baseball team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Royals compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member team of the American League (AL) Central division. The team was founded as an expansion franchise in 1969, and has participated in four World Series, winning in 1985 and 2015, and losing in 1980 and 2014.

Regular Season

The regular season is when each team in the NFL plays 16 games, which are all important as they decide who will make the playoffs at the end of the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs play their first game of the regular season on September 10th, 2017 against the New England Patriots. The Chiefs will play every team in their division (AFC West) twice and then play teams from other divisions based on how they finished in their own division the previous year.

This year, the Chiefs have what is considered an “Easy” schedule as they don’t have to play any teams that made it to the playoffs last year outside of their division.

Pre-Season

The NFL preseason is the exhibition season of the National Football League (NFL). In the preseason, NFL players wear generic white jerseys while they familiarize themselves with new teammates and coaches on their new team. Preseason play is considered to be a warm up for the regular season, where players compete for their respective teams in hopes of winning the Lombardi Trophy, which is given to the team that wins the annual Super Bowl.

The NFL preseason typically begins in early August and runs until late August or early September. The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to play four preseason games in 2020:

-August 15th against the Houston Texans
-August 29th against the Los Angeles Rams
-September 3rd against the Green Bay Packers
-September 10th against the Dallas Cowboys

Post-Season

The MLB Postseason is an elimination tournament held after the conclusion of the Major League Baseball’s (MLB) regular season. As of 2012, the playoffs for each league—American and National—consist of a one-game wild-card playoff between two wild card teams, four best-of-five Division Series (LDS) featuring the wild-card winner and the winner of each division, and finally the best-of-seven League Championship Series (LCS). In addition to the seven teams that qualify for the postseason through their divisional championships, two teams—one from each league—earn a postseason berth by having the best record among all of the second place teams in their respective leagues.

National Time

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).[1] The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, the highest professional level of American football in the world, the wealthiest professional sport league by revenue,[2] and the sport league with the most valuable teams.[3] The regular season runs from September to December, with each team playing 16 games and having one bye week.[4][5] Following the conclusion of the regular season, six teams from each conference (four division winners and two wild card teams) advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in Super Bowl LIII, scheduled for February 3, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The NFL was formed in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association (APFA) before renaming itself the National Football League for the 1922 season. The NFL agreed to merge with the American Football League (AFL) in 1966, and effective with that regular season, both leagues operated as one combined league under one set of rules.[6]
