The team played their home games at Municipal Stadium and then Arrowhead Stadium from 1972 to 2016 before moving back to Municipal Stadium in 2017 due to renovations at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs have appeared in ten AFC Championship Games and won three times, most recently in 2019 when they defeated the Tennessee Titans, en route to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1970 (Super Bowl LIV), where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers for their first Super Bowl victory in fifty years.
