The Kansas City Royals are a professional baseball team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Royals compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) Central division. The team was founded as an expansion franchise in 1969, and has participated in four World Series, winning in 1985 and 2015, and losing in 1980 and 2014.

As of right now, the Kansas City Royals are in the process of rebuilding their team. Consequently, they are not playing very well and do not have a set schedule. As soon as they start playing better, however, they will most likely have a set schedule.

The Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion. Hunt’s son, Clark, serves as chairman and CEO. While Hunt’s ownership has held steady over the years, the majority of team stock is owned by three families; the reputed heirs to Walmart founder Sam Walton, brothers David Tepper and Bruce Beal Jr., who also owns the New England Patriots, and Patrick Mahomes II, who also serves as quarterback for the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Mavericks

The Missouri Mavericks are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL’s Western Conference, playing their home games at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City.
The Mavericks replaced the former Central Hockey League team also known as the Missouri Mavericks.
In October 2009, it was announced that the Central Hockey League would expand by four teams for the 2010–11 season, and that one of those teams would be located in Independence, Missouri.
In December 2009, Lampe Arena Partners LLC, headed by Steve Bruce and Lamar Hunt Jr., was announced as the owner of the yet-to-be-named team.


The Chiefs play their home games at Arrowhead Stadium, which is located in Kansas City, Missouri. The stadium is located just outside of downtown Kansas City, and it is the largest sports venue in Missouri.
