The home of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and the host of Super Bowl LIII in 2019, it replaced the now-demolished Georgia Dome, the Falcons’ home stadium from 1992 through 2016. The stadium is adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park, which is home to the 1996 Summer Olympics Stadium and future site of Dragon Con. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), a state agency, owns and operates Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Centennial Olympic Park.
The total seating capacity is 71,000, with 41,500 for Falcons games and 33,500 for college football games. There are also 145 suites, 8 event suites, and 76 club seats for a total of281 luxury seats. In addition, there are 3 levels with a total of 764 loge boxes.
