How to Get the Vaccine
If you are interested in getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, there are a few places you can get it in Kansas City. You can go to the Health Department, some pharmacies, and some doctor’s offices. The Health Department is offering the vaccine for free, but you may have to pay at the other locations.
If you are eligible for the vaccine, you can make an appointment at one of our vaccine clinics by calling 816-513-6000 or visiting our website.
The vaccine is free for anyone 18 and older. You do not need insurance, but please bring your insurance card if you have one. You will be asked to provide your name, address, birthdate, and contact information so we can follow up with you after your vaccination.
-Clay County Public Health Center is offering the vaccine by appointment and walk-ins Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The vaccine is available to people 18 and older. You do not need insurance to get the vaccine, but please bring your insurance card if you have one so we can bill your insurance provider.
-Kansas City Free Health Clinic is offering the vaccine by appointment only for people 18 and older. You do not need insurance to get the vaccine, but please bring your insurance card if you have one so we can bill your insurance provider.

Truman Medical Centers
Truman Medical Centers (TMC) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that owns and operates two acute care hospitals in Kansas City, Missouri. TMC includes the 600-bed Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital and the 244-bed TMC Lakewood. Together, the two hospitals provide care for more than 100,000 patients each year.

Saint Luke’s Health System
Saint Luke’s Health System is providing the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine to eligible patients age 18 and older at all of its hospital and clinic locations in the Kansas City area. The vaccine is available by appointment only, and patients can schedule an appointment by calling (816) 932-2777 or visiting slhs.org/covidvaccine.
