The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Schedule
The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to play the New Orleans Saints next week on Sunday, September 27th at 12:00 PM. The Chiefs are currently 2-0 and are coming off of a big win against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Saints are also 2-0 and are coming off of a big win against the Seattle Seahawks. Regular Season
The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Houston Texans in the NFL’s divisional round on Sunday, Jan. 12 at Arrowhead Stadium. The game is set to begin at 3:05 p.m. ET and will be televised on CBS.
The Chiefs defeated the Texans 42-34 in Week 6 of the regular season. The two teams have not met in the playoffs since 2016, when the Texans defeated the Chiefs 27-20 in Houston.
If the Chiefs win on Sunday, they will face either the New England Patriots or the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 20.
Preseason
The Kansas City Chiefs play four preseason games in total.
