The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team will take on theSeton Hall Pirates in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, March 24. The game will tip off at approximately 6:10 p.m. EDT and will be televised on CBS.

Seeding
The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament is a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams that compete in seven rounds for the national championship. The first four rounds are known as the “first four,” and they determine which teams will make it to the main tournament. The first four games are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the main tournament starts on Thursday.
The NCAA selection committee seeds the teams before the tournament begins. This year, the Kansas Jayhawks are a number one seed. That means they will play the winner of theplay-in game between UC Irvine and Georgia State. If Kansas wins that game, they will play either Auburn or New Mexico State in the second round on Saturday.

A total of 37 conference tournament winners automatically qualify for the tournament, while the remaining 31 teams will be at-large teams.
The first four rounds will take place between March 19 and April 1 at locations across the United States, with the Final Four taking place on April 6 and April 8 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Results
After losing to Oregon in the Elite Eight, Kansas will not be heading to the Final Four this year. The Jayhawks put up a good fight against the Ducks, but they ultimately fell short with a final score of 74-60. This means that Oregon will be going on to play Virginia in the Final Four.
Although Kansas is out of the running for the National Championship, they had a great season overall and should be proud of their accomplishments. With a record of 28-8, the Jayhawks made it further than many people expected them to go in the NCAA Tournament. They will surely be back next year and hoping for a better outcome.
