The NCAA selection committee seeds the teams before the tournament begins. This year, the Kansas Jayhawks are a number one seed. If Kansas wins that game, they will play either Auburn or New Mexico State in the second round on Saturday.

Results

After losing to Oregon in the Elite Eight, Kansas will not be heading to the Final Four this year. The Jayhawks put up a good fight against the Ducks, but they ultimately fell short with a final score of 74-60. This means that Oregon will be going on to play Virginia in the Final Four.

Although Kansas is out of the running for the National Championship, they had a great season overall and should be proud of their accomplishments. With a record of 28-8, the Jayhawks made it further than many people expected them to go in the NCAA Tournament. They will surely be back next year and hoping for a better outcome.
