Introduction
The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion.

The team is currently coached by Andy Reid and led on offense by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs won Super Bowl IV in 1970, making them the second AFL team to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game, after the New York Jets won Super Bowl III in 1969. The Chiefs have had 27 head coaches in their history; three have been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Hank Stram, Marty Schottenheimer, and Dick Vermeil. Postseason
The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will open the 2020 NFL postseason at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Jan. 10.
The game will start at 3:05 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
The Chiefs are the No. 1 seed in the AFC and have a first-round bye. The Browns are the No. 6 seed and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 48-37, in the Wild Card round on Sunday.
