Andy Reid
The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs are currently favored to win by 9.5 points.
Former Eagles coach
As the former head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Andy Reid is no stranger to football fans in Kansas City. After being relieved of his duties with the Eagles following the 2012 season, Reid joined the Kansas City Chiefs as their head coach in 2013. He led the team to a 9-7 record and a playoff berth in his first season, and then guided them to a record-setting 12-4 campaign and an AFC West division title in 2014. The Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots in the 2014 AFC Championship Game, but they rebounded to win the division again in 2015 with an 11-5 record. They made it back to the AFC Championship Game in 2016, but once again fell to the Patriots.
Led the Eagles to five NFC Championship Games
From 1999 to 2012, Reid led the Eagles to five NFC Championship Games, including four consecutive appearances from 2001-2004, and was head coach of the team that represented the NFC in Super Bowl XXXIX. In 21 seasons as an NFL head coach, he has compiled a 170-131-1 (.564) record, including a 20-12 mark in the playoffs.
Alex Smith
The former number one overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, Alex Smith has had a topsy-turvy career to say the least. After being traded to the Chiefs in 2013, Smith has been the model of consistency, leading Kansas City to four consecutive winning seasons.
Quarterback for the Chiefs
Alex Smith is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted 1st overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2005 NFL Draft. As of 2019, he is still playing for the Chiefs and has been their starting quarterback since 2013.
Helped the Chiefs to an AFC West title
The Chiefs scored the most points in the AFC West and allowed the second-fewest, en route to an 11-5 record and their first division title since 2010. In large part, that was thanks to Alex Smith, who had his best season as a Chief.
Smith completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,502 yards, 20 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He also ran for another 498 yards and three touchdowns. His Total QBR of 70.5 was the best of his career, and his passer rating of 104.7 was sixth in the NFL.
