In his 21 seasons as a head coach in the NFL, Reid has compiled a regular season record of 173-113-1, a postseason record of 12-11, and has appeared in nine NFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl.

Andy Reid was born on March 19, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Elizabeth (née Tingley) and Walter Reid, who worked in the airfreight business. He has two brothers, Jim and Glenn. Glenn played linebacker at Brigham Young University from 1977 to 1981. Reid attended John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, where he was a quarterback on the football team. Later, he attended Glendale Community College, where he played quarterback from 1976 to 1977.
