Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 21, 2012. He is also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone ranked Brooks at No. 23 on its 2005 list of “The 100 Greatest Singers Of All Time” and No. 12 on its 2011 list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time”. In 2019, Billboard magazine ranked him the No. 5 country artist of all time.

Garth Brooks has announced that his opening act for his upcoming show in Kansas City will be country music duo The Fans. The Fans are comprised of husband and wife Rob and Nicole Fan, who met while attending college in Texas.
The Fans released their self-titled debut album in 2016, and their single “That’s What I Like About You” reached the top ten on the country music charts. Their follow-up album, “A Better Life,” was released in 2018 and features the singles “All I Wanna Do” and “I Need You.”
