Early Life

Andy Reid was born on March 19, 1958, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Elizabeth (née Tilton) and Walter Reid Jr. His mother was a schoolteacher and his father was an assistant football coach at UCLA. Reid played offensive tackle at John Marshall High School in Los Angeles. He attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, California, before transferring to Brigham Young University (BYU).

College Career

Andy Reid played college football for Brigham Young University (BYU). He was a member of the team that won the national championship in 1984. After college, he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He played for the Packers for three seasons before becoming a coach.
