Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes II (born September 17, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He is the son of former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Pat Mahomes. After playing college football for Texas Tech University, he was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In his second NFL season, Mahomes became the Chiefs’ full-time starting quarterback, helping lead the team to a 12–4 record and AFC West divisional championship. In 2018, he was named First Team All-Pro and league MVP after leading the Chiefs to a league-best 12–4 record, throwing for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns, leading the NFL in both categories. With Mahomes at quarterback, the Chiefs also set an NFL record for the most consecutive games with scoring 30 or more points (10 games).
