Andy Reid
Andy Reid is the current head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was hired on January 7, 2013, after being fired from his previous head coaching position with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Hiring
The Kansas City Chiefs hired Reid as their new head coach on January 4, 2013. He signed a five-year contract with the team. Prior to coaching the Chiefs, Reid spent 14 seasons as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the Eagles to six NFC East division championships, nine playoff appearances, five NFC Championship Games, and one Super Bowl appearance.
Record with the Chiefs
In his six full seasons as the Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, Reid has led the team to a 63-41 record (.604), five playoff appearances (2010-2014), four AFC West division titles (2010-2013) and three AFC Championship game appearances (2010, 2013, 2018). In 2019, Reid led the Chiefs to a 12-4 record and their first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years. The Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.
Personal Life
Andy Reid was born on March 19, 1958, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Elizabeth Ann (née Dillingham) and Walter James Reid. His father played football at Drake University and his mother was a three-sport athlete at Southern Methodist University. He has two brothers, Mike and Garrett, and a sister, Tammy. Reid attended John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, where he was a teammate of future NFL offensive lineman Bruce Collie.
Reid played college football at Glendale Community College in 1976 and then transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU). He was an offensive tackle for the Courier Express Newspaper All-Star team during his senior season in 1977. He graduated from BYU in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
Todd Haley
Todd Haley was born in 1974 in Riverdale, New York. After playing football and graduating from the University of Miami, he became a wide receivers coach for the Dallas Cowboys. In 2007, Haley was named the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals. In 2009, he was hired by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hiring
In January of 2013, the Chiefs announced that they had hired Todd Haley as their new head coach. Haley, who was then the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was hired to replace Romeo Crennel. Prior to his time with the Steelers, Haley spent four seasons as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Haley’s hiring was met with some criticism, as many felt that he was not the right man for the job. However, under Haley’s guidance, the Chiefs have made great strides. In his first season, the team went from having a 2-14 record to posting an 11-5 record and winning the AFC West division title.

In his six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Head Coach Todd Haley has compiled a 52-34 (.605) record, including playoff appearances in three of the last four seasons (2010-13). In 2010, Haley guided the Chiefs to a 10-6 record and an AFC West division title after the team posted a 4-12 mark in 2009. It marked just the third time in franchise history that a team won at least 10 games one season after winning four or fewer contests.

Haley is a native of River Falls, Wisconsin and is the son of Dick Haley, a former executive with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Cornell University, where he was a wide receiver. After graduating in 1994, he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater.
Haley and his wife Chrissy have two sons, Richard and Timothy.

Romeo Crennel is the current head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been the head coach of the Chiefs since 2010. Crennel has also been the head coach of the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots.
Hiring
In January of 2013, Romeo Crennel was hired as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to that, he had been the defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans and the New York Giants. He has also served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots.
In his first season with the Chiefs, Crennel led them to a 9-0 record before losing their final game of the season. They went on to lose in the Wild Card round of the playoffs to the Indianapolis Colts. In 2014, Crennel was fired after starting the season 1-6.

In his three seasons with the Chiefs, Romeo Crennel has compiled a record of 18-28. During that time, the Chiefs have gone 12-20 in the AFC West.
Personal Life
Romeo Crennel was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 18, 1947. He attended the University of Maine, where he played college football as a defensive lineman. After graduating, Crennel was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 1971 NFL Draft. He played for the Patriots for four seasons before ending his playing career and moving into coaching.
Crennel began his coaching career as a defensive line coach at Southern Methodist University in 1977. He then served as defensive coordinator for several college and NFL teams, including the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Kansas City Chiefs. In January 2011, Crennel was hired as the head coach of the Chiefs.
Under Crennel’s leadership, the Chiefs made it to the playoffs in 2013 and won the AFC Championship in 2019. They went on to lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
