The Chiefs have had a topsy-turvy season so far, with a 4-5 record that has them on the outside looking in at the playoff picture. They started off strong with a 4-1 record, but have since lost four of their last five games. They are currently in third place in the AFC West behind the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos.
Their recent struggles can be attributed to a number of factors, including injuries to key players, inconsistent play from their quarterback, and some tough opponents.Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has been having a down year by his standards, and the team has been relying too much on running back Jamaal Charles to carry the offense.
The Chiefs’ defense has also been below average, giving up an average of 24 points per game. If they want to get back on track and make a push for the playoffs, they will need to address these issues.
