Kansas City Won
The Kansas City Chiefs won the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a score of 27-24. This was a great game and it was a great win for the Chiefs.
They were the better team
On paper, the Pittsburgh Steelers looked like the better team going into their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. They had a higher-powered offense, and their defense was ranked number one in the league. But the Chiefs came out on top, winning 19-13.
They played better
The better team usually wins, and that was the case yesterday when Kansas City beat Pittsburgh. Both teams had their share of good plays and bad plays, but Kansas City made more of the plays they needed to win. This was especially evident in the second half, when they outscored Pittsburgh 21-7.
The final score wasn’t as close as the score at halftime (21-14), but it was still a good game. Both teams have a lot to be proud of, and we’re looking forward to seeing them both back on the field soon.
Pittsburgh Lost
The Pittsburgh team was very sad because they had worked so hard to try to win the game but sadly they lost by 2 points. They were very discouraged but they did not want to give up. They wanted to know what they could do to win the next game.
They were not the better team
The better team did not win, Pittsburgh lost. They were not the better team.
They did not play better
The Steelers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, falling victim to yet another uninspired performance. Pittsburgh played perhaps its worst game of the season, and it cost them dearly.
The Steelers offense was contributions from a few individuals, but was largely ineffective. Quarterback Mason Rudolph threw for just 252 yards and one touchdown, while also turning the ball over twice. Running back Benny Snell Jr. had a decent game, rushing for 63 yards on 17 carries, but the team as a whole could not get anything going on the ground. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was once again the team’s best receiver, catching four passes for 74 yards and the aforementioned touchdown.
Defensively, the story was much of the same. The Steelers gave up 27 points to a Chiefs offense that had been struggling as of late. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for another score. Wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins both had over 100 yards receiving, and running back Damien Williams rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown.
For the Steelers, this loss is a crushing blow. They are now 5-4 on the season and find themselves two games behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North division race. With eight games remaining, Pittsburgh will need to play much better if they want to make a push for the playoffs.
