The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team defeated the Miami Hurricanes on March 2nd, 2020. The Jayhawks have now won 14 straight games, dating back to February 8th. This is the Jayhawks’ longest winning streak since the 2008-2009 season.

The Jayhawks outscored the Hurricanes 13-3 in the fourth quarter to finish with a 58-57 victory. Kansas had a 17-point lead in the second half, but Miami went on a 21-4 run to take a 57-56 lead with 4:09 left in the game.

With just seconds remaining andthe Jayhawks up by two, Miami’s Ja’Quan Newton drove to the basket for what looked like the go-ahead layup. But Kansas’ Landen Lucas came up with a huge block to preserve the win for his team.
